For me these last two weeks have been challenging and, yes, difficult. The chemistry class I am taking (which is one of four classes required to apply for a graduate program in Nutrition) has been challenging. I easily spend 15 to 20 hours a week studying for this class. As a result, I can see the dots that connect chemistry and nutrition take shape — it is irresistibly intriguing!
I try to think of everything I learn about in a nutrition setting and doing so keeps me engaged in the class! Instead of feeling overwhelmed or defeated by a challenging problem, I take a break and attack it anew the next day. If I find myself really stuck, I seek help. This method can apply to anything, not just chemistry.
The difficulties we encounter or create have the power to move us forward, to inspire us to keep moving forward…if we let them.
